DRA. JANE GOODALL WILL BE HONORIS CAUSA FOR
UNIVERSITY OF ALICANTE

Primatologist Jane Goodall wins one more degree among many others she has been collecting during her life with the work in defense of the Great Primates. Attending a request from Paco Cuellar, director of the GAP Project in Europe, University of Alicante, in Spain, decided to give her the academic degree Doctor Honoris Causa.

Dra. Jane Goodall, 74 years old, spends most of her time travelling around the world promoting the defense of Great Primates, of their habitats and of biodiversity in general. Dra. Goodall started her studies at Gombe, in Africa, observing a group of chimpanzees and proving to the world that they were intelligent and social beings, that they used tools and that they should be preserved and respected in our society.

Nowadays she runs Jane Goodall Institute, which has many Sanctuaries in Africa and supports many Great Apes and Nature Preservation projects all around the world.
