Guga and his human family
SOROCABA SANCTUARY
Guga knows that his family is of chimpanzees at one side and human on the other, with us. My wife, Vânia, and our son, Lucas, visit the sanctuary, but not so frequently as I do. Luca, who was raised together with Guga and was his partner in baby plays, today is at a University in Campinas, SP, and does not have many opportunities to visit him.
When he goes to the sanctuary it is party day. Last Monday, July 20th, he went to the sanctuary and Guga received him as always, with a brother hug. Then he did grooming in Lucas and in his mother. Gromming is a kind of love treat exchanged among chimpanzees.
Here there are some photos of the meeting with his family, the biggest gift Guga is always anxious to receive.
