THE RIGHT TO PROPERTY"
"THE RIGHT TO PROPERTY"
To possess something is extremely important to human beings. The right to property is maybe one of the most valued rights in our societies. This right comes from the cognitive native of all the primates. In the case of chimpanzees it is not different.
When Hulk did not see, the right to property was meaningless. Now that he sees, it gained value. One month ago we gave him a building helmet as a toy. Maybe this is the unique thing that he had possessed during his messed up life and wherever he goes the helmet goes together with him. When he walks he carries it with his mouth, as long as his hands are usually busy. When he is seated he grabs it together to his chest or lap. We have already asked him, but he does not deliver the helmet back. For him the helmet is a symbol, something that belongs to him, and he is not interested in sharing it with anyone.
Today Hulk has company, because Tata follows him everywhere. The have already invaded all the old bedrooms and enclosures of Guga's group, used when they were babies and not being used nowadays. Hulk and Tata have more than half a dozen of bedrooms and dinning halls, wood houses, toys, trees, which anyone had before in the sanctuary. But wherever he goes and even when he is sleeping, that property of him - the orange helmet - is faithfully together.
